Description: OUTSIDE THE CITY. Open since 1806, Ye Olde Pepper Company claims to be the oldest candy shop in America. Many of original products such as black jacks (molasses candy sticks) and lemon and peppermint flavored Gibralters are still sold here today. There's a tempting selection of homemade fudge and truffles, too, and patrons may catch a glimpse of the candymakers at work behind the glass. Credit cards accepted for purchases over $5.
