Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

Isabella Stewart Gardner, an American art collector, philanthropist and patron of the arts, founded this museum in 1903. Designed after a 15th-century Venetian palace, the museum contains over 2,500 pieces of art, many collected personally by Ms. Gardner, as well as a beautiful garden courtyard.
