Something to Look Forward to This Holiday Season

A first look ahead to the holidays at The Eliot

A first look ahead to the holidays at The Eliot

There is still plenty of autumn to enjoy on Commonwealth Avenue. The trees, the brownstones, the pleasure of walking a few blocks without much of a plan. But as October settles into Back Bay, we begin looking forward to another favorite time of year at The Eliot.

Soon, our holiday installations will bring a different feeling to the hotel. For guests planning a December stay, and neighbors looking forward to a visit, this is the beginning of something worth putting on the calendar.

A familiar place, dressed for the season

Holiday decorations have a lovely way of changing how we see a place we know. You notice a corner you might usually pass, pause a little longer in the lobby, or find yourself reaching for your camera before heading out.

At The Eliot, the setting is part of the pleasure. Our Commonwealth Avenue address, the character of the building, and the warmth of a personal welcome give the season a home of its own. The installations add another reason to spend time here, whether Boston is your destination or the city you already call home.

We will share the full reveal in November, along with the details you need to plan your visit. Until then, we are keeping a few things to ourselves.

If you are thinking about a holiday getaway, this is a good moment to begin making plans.

Perhaps it is a weekend with someone you have been meaning to see. Perhaps it is a shopping trip with a friend, or a few days in the city before the family calendar fills up. A stay in Back Bay gives you room for all of those things without needing to turn the visit into a long itinerary.

Spend an afternoon browsing Newbury Street. Make a dinner reservation at UNI (https://www.eliothotel.com/dining). Leave some time to return to your room, change for the evening, and enjoy the fact that you do not have to hurry home.

For local visitors, the holidays offer a different reason to return to familiar streets. Pair a visit to the installations with plans in the neighborhood, or make an evening of it with dinner.

We will have more to share soon

In November, we will introduce this year’s installations properly, with photographs and information about visiting.

For now, consider this a small invitation to look ahead. We would love The Eliot to be part of your holiday plans.
